About J.A. Keating

J.A. Keating practiced law in Philadelphia for twenty-two years before turning to fiction. A lifelong resident of the Philadelphia suburbs, he grew up in Broomall, Delaware County, attended Marple-Newtown High School, and now lives in Chester County with his family.

He holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Saint Joseph’s University and a Juris Doctorate degree from Widener University School of Law. His legal career spanning construction litigation, surety law, and corporate compliance gave him an instinct for buried facts, institutional cover-ups, and the patience it takes to find the truth underneath.

The Benoit Winery Murders is his debut novel, written longhand over five months. It is the first book in the Jimmy Keats series. The second, Crossing Sabers, is forthcoming.
